Convicts will NOT breed "regardless"

Remember you still need a ..... FEMALE!

Surprising as it is, they STILL require both sexes.

Females will have some orange on the sides. If none of yours do, you have a bunch of males, and no, they won't breed eventually :)

wow, thats what I meant. does everything need to be spelled out ?

Bigsmooth, here's your comment:
cons breed in any tank regardless if they're dominant or not

Just wanted to add that you do still need a female :) No offense! My comment was made lightheartedly.

Ille agree doesnt matter if they are dominant or not. My cons are quite often banished to there pot for days at a time and attacked if they ever come out and will still happily breed and quite often still care for the babies untill ofcourse something eats them.

:iagree: santoury pretty much said it all.

u dont have to vent cons to sex them. it is so easy to tell them apart.

if theyre all five inches and none of them have any colouration on their bellies then you have a bunch of males, you can tell them apart from around 1" in length

Yes they are all males, i just picked up 2 2" females and a 2" male today and i'll try an breed them. You can definately tell the difference.

Now u can spawn some convicts regaurdless of who's the dominant fish in the tank 1 male and a couple of ladies and there will be fry every where put 1 of your big 5" males in with the 2 ladies and i would take the rest back u will be up to your eyes in cons soon.:grinno:
