And here I was thinking that you would need to put in graduated sized holes from one side to the other because of a larger volume of water coming in on one side and the pressure that would cause.

BTW: Embry Riddle is a great school. HORRIBLE location but great school.

They prefer being called aero-space engineers, but Rocket Scientist works too. :D

The only location that I know of is in Daytona right next to the Daytona International Airport . It seems like an ideal location. However, it is also right next to the Daytona International Speedway (Daytona 500). So far, none of their student pilots have tried to land on the "round" runway. :grinno:

Maybe not, but when I was there one used I-95. Try concentrating on school work while living in Daytona. Not really easy, trust me I tried it...(btw didn't work). I wonder if they still have the hanger party.....

I asked him about that...he gets all huffy puffy about being called Aero-Space because it is such a broad term these days and some of the Aero-Space guys are glorified drafters now. I suppose he thinks this is below him. His specialty is designing rocket nozzles; either way, I love to give him crap about it.

And yes....great school, although I would argue the location thing. I went to RIT, and Rocheter NY might be the armpit of the planet. Can't wait to leave this city and move back down south.

I have no idea how many holes you are going to need or what size the need to be. What I do know is that a piece of pegboard makes a great template for drilling the holes. Start by drilling out the 4 corners and running a small nut and bolt through each cornerto keep things lines up, then drill away.

I like the pegboard/template idea. Lowes sells plastic pegboard with holes that are either 1/4" or 3/16".

When starting with a fixed number of holes, the hole size can be calculated in the same manner that I explained above, only backwardsish.
