that link doesnt do the taiwan justice....this is what a male looks like!
this was our male, beautiful fish

As I said in my other post KEEP CLICKING NEXT UNTIL THE END!!! It shows fish from uncolored juvies as they color up to spectacular specimens on PAGE 4. No offense, your fish is nice but no match to a couple on PAGE 4!

It always amazes me how many people reply to a post on here (or any other forum for that matter) without reading the ENTIRE post.

sorry bud, I did look at all the photos on the site and Bal's is why nicer... also when you make comments you may want to follow your own advise. ikevi asked you a questions that you did not answer.

Hey guys.... I hope the argument doesn't go beyond this. Coz this is one of the most friendly forums I have come across.... here's hoping it stays that way! :chillpill:
Anyways, thanks for the replies. I did check the link for the taiwan.... but have a feeling mine is a bit leaner than those. Nishant's advice of taking a small video is a good one..... it's damn difficult to take decent shots of these guys! Will try to do that in a few days.
I guess I'll just wait a bit for it to grow up and then see where it's headed!

Btw it's got eight vertical bands on the body... which again makes it a non taiwan I guess....

Eh don't worry about little spats. It happens. And yah I would say that time will tell. I would assume that in a few months he will be quite the looker whatever he is.

Well I guess it is a matter of personal taste. I like this one way better, either one is nice though. I dont know why people are getting their hackles up, I was just making a statement that I still stand behind. I cant beleive anyone would denounce the pictures on the 4th page as "Doesnt do the taiwan justice". I still beleive that statement was made about the one on page 1. maybe im wrong, maybe not. Either way I am not going to lose any sleep over it and no one else should either.

Here is a pic of the one I like. The colors are brighter, bars show better, and the vermiculations on the fins are crisp and bright.

okay look.....no i didnt read the comment about click four pages....oh well....i missed it...so whats the big deal? life its too short to get bent out of shape about some/me not reading a post and missing part of it....

many times a fish's color depends on how much light is hitting him...
yes this is a beautiful fish....but? i think the lighting is too high which is changing the overal blue hues on this fish...he appears nearly aqua...and though they definetly carry green/aqua....they are very royal blue in main areas too...

eggs spots...though this fish's egg spots are elongated, and some prefer breeding this into them so they are nearly striped...i prefer seeing them as more rounded...personal preference? ayup...and we all have em just like belly buttons.....
i muddled through trying to post a few of the breeding videos i have taken of ours....though i know i have more i put up three of the ones i dug out...
