Are them sizes correct?

if so a few tetras maybe, with a very small sponge filter.

You might know it better as a Siamese fighting fish. Look out for fish with strong colours, long finnage, and usually kept in small containers. Or google it.

2.5 gallons eh... I myself would do a planted Betta tank (solo fish) along with some snails.

Make sure to post some pictures when you've got it up and running!
