Need Help With Arawanas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello all have did some water changes on my tank and they are coming back a little better than before. I also lowered my ph it is now at 7.5.
Amonia-0ppm
Nitrites-0ppm
nitrates-20ppm
I have ran into a problem the water that I get from the city contains amonia it is at 1.0 I think that is high. Has anybody ever used those tap water filters that filter the tap water and you can put it directly in to your tank? They say it gets rid of amonia, nitrites, and nitrates. Has anybody ever used them before and do they work.

get a good biofilter going

ammo chips will starve your bacteria and when those ammo chip exaust your in trouble. ditch them.

give your biofilter a kick in the ass by adding some marineland bio spira.

what happens when its too high?

my pH is at 8.4 :)

Don't know this is just what Ive read, but looks as if that your aro has proved that to be incorrect. I know your aro is like 4 plus years old, has she always been in 8.4 ph?
