need help with brackish tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So let the flame fest begin - Its your tank and you're decision. I think just about everyone here can respect that and offer advice without being too rude. Or maybe we'll just call you names and laugh. Either way good luck!

yeah hadnt thought of that^ well in that case i am getting 1-3 indian dwarf mudskippers. the lfs has some 1 inchers in and the biggest i have ever seen them get was 2 inches. i was gonna do a few pieces of driftwood as islands for them to climb on and have a 10 a hoodlight and a filter all thats left is the skippers and a heater. but the skippers dont go on sale for another month, he says he wants to make sure they are going to make it this time. last time the lfs had skippers they starved within 2 weeks because the crabs where eating all the food, this time he has no crabs in with them so they should make it. untill i got the skippers i was gonna do the tank all the way full with some mollies for feeders for my cichlids.

lol, I was expecting you to say silvertips or scats or something along those lines. I don't have any exp with mudskippers so I can't really help you out. Good luck and let's see some pics when you get it set up.

There are a few species of BW fish that would fit comfortably in a 10g but I am concerned you already think the tank is too small for the ones you are planning.

will post pix when it is done. willl also try to put a pix of the tank design to see what the skipper keepers on here think of my design. i am not afriad of it being too small, but have read threads where people get flamed for keeping skippers in anything smaller than 20 long tanks.
