Need help with changing to substrate (sand)

I just did mine this weekend. Like previously said i rinsed that sand very well. Take your time with this step. Removed all old gravel did a quick w/c. vacced out and crap on the bottom glass. then used a big measuring cup with a handle to scop it up and slowly submerged it in the water making a big pile then pushing it flat. just keep in mind that since you are removing that much gravel and replacing it with new sand, you may see a big change in your bio. just keep an eye on your ammonia and nitrate levels
