Need Help with Decoration Cleaning

Hi guys
was planning on Doing a good gravel clean once a month I had a couple of doubts
Is it ok of I remove more than 25% of the water like I do in weekly wc say close to 50-80% once in a month
Would it stress the fish a lot causing them to get sick or something
Pls guide me

You'd need yo do water tests to see if you can safely go a month between water changes without a ph crash and/or high nitrates being an issue. I do 50% weekly, twice a week sometimes. 50% Once every two weeks might be ok depending on how stocked you are, and how much is fed.

If you find a test that covers pH and nitrate, those parameters should give you a good idea of how often you need to do water changes.
If you do a water change on Monday, take a sample, and the pH tests (for example) 7, and you test again on Fri and pH is 5.5, then in my opinion you need to up your water changes, because results mean your fish are producing more urine (acid) than your system can handle.
Same with nitrate, if on Monday after a water change your nitrate is 10ppm, but on Fri it tests 50ppm, then in my opinion, you need more water changes.
On the other hand if after a water change your pH is 7, and 2 weeks later it is still 7, then you are probably good.
I change 20-30% daily (or minimally every other day), because I like to keep nitrate at between 2-5 ppm and a pH stable at 7.6-7.8.
Some might call that a bit anal, but it works for me.
