Are vendors that sell larger heaters. Options are inline heater, or possibly a titanium heater with a controller.

how are the finnex heaters? i thinking of trying 2 Finnex 500 heaters with controller for set tempeture for now and then in the winter throw in 3 800 watt with controller. i think that would be enough to keep her warm in the winter.

The long term cost of running a closed loop as mentioned is pennies on the dollar to using electricity to heat a body of water that large. Regular and routine maintenance costs may include a new pump every few years (based on the model you purchase).

Grab 3 Titanium Probe elements, 1000W and a few Ranco controllers and call it a day.

Unless there is some sort of space time continuum disturbance around Georgia, it's February there as well. :D

can you explain more whatca mean witht he closed loop?
Well I would suggest a system with a sealed heating element which water is continuously pumped through and regulated with an internal thermostat.

I personally wouldn't use any standard heating elements in that tank especially with acrylic. I have heard of heating elements melting the acrylic if they are too close. You will also end up with some cold dead spots I would assume with standard heating elements.

Sealed Heating System is my suggestion
