Need help with light

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I returned the light and went to home depot. I found basically the same there. All the shop lights are all 4 footers. I found something called a wrap around light that uses 2 T8 bulbs. But it only comes with hard wire and no plug. So I got a wire that has a plug and was thinking about tying it myself. But after I rang it up it came to nearly $50. Plus there was only 1 bulb in the whole store I could use and it didn't have the kelvin rating listed, the guy said they could of been 4100K. So i decided not to buy it.

What do you guys buy at lowes and home depot? I'm having a hard time finding a 2 ft fixture with 2 bulbs. Any brand you can tell me or a link to a fixture?

Go to walmart they have 48"s for like 8 bucks get two if you want but one light is plenty for a tank. save some energy

are there no LFS near you where you could find a twin-tube strip light? yeah, it might cost more than you think it should, but you'd be done . . .

you might even find a bargain on a T8 fixture, they aren't exactly cutting-edge these days

That's what I am going to have to do. The only usable lights at lowes and home depot are 4 footers. And anything 2 foot is unusable or requires wiring. I don't mind doing the wiring, but I was hoping others if they have done it what lights they used and what method of wiring it up they did etc. I mean I don't really know about alot of this stuff. But buying from the LFS is easier, but I think its gonna be more expensive. But I guess its all right, I'll give it a look might get lucky and get cheaper than I expect. Thanks
