no they look very similar when small and piranhas mouths are bigger like yours what are you feeding them?

I feed them brine , loaches , fishes and hikari goldfish pellet

and dont be sorry thats what this forum is for! and ya its probably gill curl I dont think their is a way to fix it other than surgery but just keep water clean and it should not harm the fish or its appetite

yes loaches , like fish. In vietnam we always feed our arowana ,flowerhorn or any other predator fish this .
Too bad for him to have his gill like that , i just notice today . Hope he will grow healthy

No but i have 2 flowerhorn and bunch of ranchu , yuanbao , i also have a channa and a parrotfish
