Agree with everyone. Keep water in great condition changing daily and they heal quick.
Best thing for them is clean, oxygenated water, and time. It might take months to recover from a wound like that, and living in that tiny hospital tank is not going to make it any easier.
I would get a Rubbermaid tub, around 100 gallons. they are cheap and would be a much better setup for these Oscars to live in for a while and recover. Just keep their water clean and stress low, and they will get better.
I would also question the stocking of the main tank, these are very serious injuries; not something that should be let slide. If you are sure the texas did this, I would decide between your texas and Oscars, since even in an 8ft, they cannot live together peaceably.
