Switch off aquarium lights if you have kept any on and put some tube or something for it to hide

+1. This helps ton and I do this whenever I add a new fish to the tank. In my experience leaving bright light after introducing a fish can induce shock. That being said it is very common for oscars to "sulk" at the bottom when stressed and there is really nothing wrong with them. Just keep and eye on him/her. It should change in a couple of days or less.

yup. i put my tank in the porch actually. so i just used the porch's light to light my tank. so whenever i turn on the lights i cover the tank to block the light. it's okay now. it's starting to swim and charged my finger when i put on the glass.
when i bought my last oscar, it didnt show this behaviour. but maybe it's because it was in the bag for a short while.
the oscar tht i just bought was in the bag for about 3 and a half hours. huhuh.
