Well that helps a little. Plan on keeping a turtle that if female, will get up to 18" in length. Males get less then half that size. They live in ponds, lakes and rivers with sandy bottoms. I've never kept softshells, but I would like to get a pair of Spiny’s someday. But they need a large enclosure so be prepared if you decide to keep him/her.
