Need help with turtle identification.

Filters,deco,fast currents and poor basking areas can all be cause of drowning. Ever notice most people keeping "rare" water turtles usually have them in 3-6" of water instead of typical fish setups with a shotty basking platform.

while true, none of that has to do with water depth. The true reptile keepers are the ones who keep reptiles for the love of reptiles, not to make money or be "cool". They give their animals large and naturalistic enclosures. Those who put their animals in tanks with unnatural conditions for the ease of care, or because they assume it must be better for the animal are not true reptile keepers.

Interesting posts.....I've been keeping turtles for 27 years and I've never had one drown.....
