NEED HELP!

found it dead when i got home after work. i measured it to be 7" TL. guess i'll get a 240 for now, when i can, for the fish I have. might try a jar when the rest of the fish get bigger and the 240's settled. i'm not sure how my combination of SA/CA cichlids, a jar and my current "monsters" will work out, but i'll probably give it a try. then, i can take my time in building a 10x4x3 and then get a black aro.

i think the jar might do okay w/ the cichlids if theyre bigger to start, but I'm worried about the jar and cichs beating up the bichir, catfish and knife. I don't really care too much about the cichlids as i'm not getting really expensive ones and some will be traded in anyway as there's no way i'll be able to keep them all. if they are killed, it wont be that big of a deal or I could get rid of them if theyre being messed around too much.

the only time the jar even looks at the cats is during feeding time when the cats come up
else he just keeps swimming around the tank
so about the cats i think there shouldn't be much problem
but jars can be real moody at times
as for the chiclids there are at least two people on MFK whose tank pics i have seen have a jar with chiclids and there is 'the trust' in whose tank he had kept more than one jar

Thanks, Brian. When I can build a 10x4x3 someday, i will get a nice black/blue and maybe get a TSN and RTC

i saw that thread. gives me hope. the place i got my silver from had 3 jars from about 6" to about 10", iirc, so it shouldnt be too much trouble finding one. a couple places i went to had leichardti written on the tanks but they had been sold, so i may be able to find one of them, too, but probably wont be worth the risk because of how expensive and hard to find they are.
