what is the salt concentration you are using? gators are very tolerant of salt, so they would probably be ok (but you don't want to overdo it).

I initially added 1 tbsp of salt per 20g of water, but after a few water changes, I have lost count of it. I also have one florida gar in the tank and hopefully I won't kill the gars by making the salt concentration too high.

yeah at those concentrations i wouldn't worry about the FL or the gator gar.. you should be fine--
