Need help..

im having a hard time feeding my snakehead.. i didnt fed him for 6 days coz i want my snakehead to eat superworms coz he's too choosy when it comes to his meals..he only likes to eat feeder fishes.. that's why i didnt fed him for a couple of days then i give him uperworms a while ago then he just taste the worm and spit it out..argh what will i do?

Hi,its hard to tell,keep trying,if it does not work switch back and try other foods.

i would keep putting worms in. it might take a few weeks but it will probably accept worms as food in the end. persistence usually works

you can easily starve him for up to 3 weeks, if he's healthy and well fed!

Try some other meaty dead foods if you feel like your starving your snakehead to much, then try the worms again. This is how i got my snakeheads onto pellets.
I floated pellets every day, but evry 5 days or so i would feed them a small meal of shrimp just enough to see their bellis bugle a bit

my monster only want feeder fish nothing else..so i need to starve him for a couple of weeks andtry again to fed him on worms??

You can starve them for quite some time, proberly longer then most off us think.
I would keep trying to feed the worms, and give him a feeder whenever you feel like he`s gone to long without food.

Since you are dealing with 9" fish, you can starve him a lot longer then i could with my baby snakeheads

if u could get hold of any muscle meat of cockles that worked well as an intermeediate food for my pulchra . then i left him for 2 weeks and dropped a worm in and bam he ate it . and after amost 3 months i had him on masivore now he wont eat anything else

If you were a spoiled kid who ate anything he wanted everyday for your entire life and somehow you were able to go without eating for weeks, im sure it would be difficult to get you to eat other foods. So just keep starving him, when an animal is faced with starvation, it would rather eat than die

thanks bud yeah still starving him for 2 weeks and he did not eat anything now my prob is my snakehead is not healthy anymore accdg to his width..weight and his color now its time to fed him?
