hi MFK! i was wondering if my 300g freshwater tank 82 degrees F would be ok in my garage during the summer? I live in LA and its known to get pretty hot in the garage durring the summer. Is there any way to prevent my tank from overheating if that is the case? Much appreciated. -Jon

I believe there are aquarium chillers, much in the way there are aquarium heaters. You could always try adding blocks of ice to the aquarium. Other than that, I wouldn't advise doing this, unless your garage was equipped with an air conditioner.

Some tropical fish are totally fine in 82F. What fish are you keeping in the tank? Also if you need to lower temps there are aquarium chillers, saltwater guys use them all the time to keep temps in check.
