Need Help

SUPER EASY the white PVC is the drain so just mock that up to your sump The BLACK fitting is your return line so hook that up to the pump. Thats it buddy!

the first one seems odd seems like its no use since its capped off from the top view.

100% second one is your drain and going to the sump.
100% third one the black part is return from the pump

So this white plug on the outside comes out and that's where the filtered water is pumped back out into the tank... The water goes over the overflow, into the big white pipe and that is where the water comes in to the sump. And the *SECOND skinny white pipe is there for unknown reasons. Am I understanding correctly?

I feel like one of those pipes is a safety/emergency drain but they are both the same height on the overflow box....or the previous person had the return piped "Y'd" off to two returns, that's a possibility.

but yes you are correct, the large 1 or 2 inch pipe is your sump drain with a stand pipe, and honestly you could use either smaller pipe as your return.

It seems so blatantly obvious now... I guess we were all noobs at one point Thanks a ton guys! It's REALLY REALLY appreciated!! ❤❤❤ Hoping to get everything sealed and set up this weekend(we'll see)! I'll be posting pictures galore when it's done! This is my biggest tank... For now I'll definitely ask questions first next time!
