I saw a 5" Datnoid at my LFS, it looks like a siamese tiger.. But on the tail it got a black strip (like the bottom drawing) so if you see that, is that a Siamese Tiger or Indo Tiger.. (will the strip on tail fade when the fish is bigger)

I got that chart, I seen it .. but Im not sure, cause the last black strip is on the tail fin.. and not on that little part of the tail.. The owner said they came from South America, but they look nothing like a NGT... im confuse.. its $45 a piece.. 
thoes "charts" are not accurate solely base on the tail stripe.
both pulcher and microlepis can have two stripes at the tail.
we'll need a picture, but chances are it's an Indonesian tiger.
and no, the stripes never fade by age (though on some fish, it may fade due to stress).

ooo if it is like mine which i doubt cause widebars are extremely hard to find in toronto. Big als usually carries indo dats aka IT. Indos have 4-5 stripes on its body. how much was BA selling it for ? 5" IT should be around $60, if its a widebar/ST than it would go for around $200. big difference in price

Tell the owner that there are no dats that come from S.America, and New Guinea is on the other side of the globe. A pic would go a long way in ID'ing this fish.
