alrite then, I will take your word for it. I just can't believe I was lucky enough to stumble upon a 28 cents tropheus! Anway as long as it is a tropheus, I really do not mind what variety it is.

Looks Goby-ish (Eretmodus)

Or Tropheus polli.....

I would say tropheus moorii.

Don't quote me on this, but it almost looks like a baby Petrochromis... Now I should probably mention that I've never seen a baby Petrochromis, but that's almost exactly what I'd imagine they'd look like.

Kinda hard to tell though. The mouth looks a little bit different, but everything else is very close.

It is so stinkin hard to tell at this size anyway! :D Unless you are going from the sp. black, sp. red...etc...

edit: I was wondering what kind of fish that is in your avatar? Is it a gar of some kind? It is kind of hard to tell by the pic.

Baby gattor gar , there cute when only 4" long :)

I am still going with it being some sort of tropheus... Just need a better pic

Just drop by your lfs or chain fs once in a while. Especially chain fs since they make a lot of mistakes with their mark up price. Its always nice to get great deals since I use the money I save to buy better equipments and such.

I just want to update on this thread. I found out that the cichlid in this pic is definitely a tropheus moorii. I stopped by the petsmart again today, and they have 2 more of these the only difference is they are priced at 29.99 now! I guess they have not marked the prices right yet when I was there. The associate gave it to me as a feeder price.
