Tellin yaz dude...its NOT an atabapo....90% sure its a xingu II...probably a female...i gave you a link for what atabapos look like....i have three right now and they look NOTHING like this beaut...trust me.

i believe you i just wanted to give you a better idea of what the marking around the eye looked like, cause my pics were kinda blurry.
Its seriously just looks like its either a Crenicichla sp. 'lugubris' variant... or Crenicichla sp. 'xingu II'....
What kind of cool sh*t do you guys have there? No dats right?gman said:saw this guy at the lfs where i just got a job and want an id on him. Has a bright red/orange color to it and has a dark marking that runs from the bottom of its eye down at a diagonal. The picks were taken with my camera phone so they suck but I'll try to get a better pic. Fish is about 6-7" and also has slight vertical bands on the top of its back.
