Ya I read about that hunting technique, but no I haven't seen him perform it :(...how about you?

Not yet, I hope he does though with time! After seeing this video I knew I had to have one in my tank. :) Yours has nice coloring and hes a nice size too, is he aggressive at all or is he pretty laid back?

Thanks, I put in 5 red rosy minnows and he ate them all within seconds. I guess they were too small because he didnt play dead or bury himself in the sand; instead he just went after them and swallowed them whole lol. He is pretty aggressive, but does no harm to any of the other cichlids I keep with him. He is definitely the boss of the tank due to his size :grinno:. I have him in a 120g with a 5 inch jack dempsey, two male red empress that are also about 5", a female red empress thats about 3", a red top zebra thats also about 3", a 5" sun catfish, a 2.5" clown pleco, a 5" electric blue ahli, and a 4.5" orange parrot. I just got him yesterday and I cannot tell you how much I love him! Well worth my $10

Right now I got two half inch kyoga flamebacks that I'm growing out in a 5g...then they will go in a 10g, then a 75g, and then eventually my 120g. I can't wait until they start showing some nice color.

I'm also going to trade my clown knife I have in another tank for two frontosa, which will also be going in the 120g. Then the 120g is stocked up. :)

Nice video, I wonder what he was playing dead for? I didn't see any small enough cichlids or fish that would make him do that
