Well just got him and a quick shot out of the tank I know almost every species of knife but this confuses me

Looks like a carapo zebra Knife fish to me. We have these sometimes at my lfs. they're able to stand up to and live with SA and CA cichlids they'll bite them back if harassed. Cool fish
