Hybrid female and a male sajica, have been laying eggs but nothing comes out

Well, you have yourself a nice pair of sajica there.

Just curious, why didn't you think so?

Those are classic sajica's right there. I've bred them.

ok, I just didn't know better, I thought the female was just like the male but with yellow fins insted of red

Ohhh gotcha... Well, they are awesome, that's for sure!

My pleasure!

After digging through pictures of C. sajica, C. septemfasciatus and C. myrnae I'm more inclined to think the fish in question is C. septemfasciatus.
I admit I've never kept them before and taking variation into consideration the pictures I've seen of C. sajica females do not show any metallic outline to the dorsal blotch and female, spawning females and juveniles of the species all exhibit the characteristic bar in the midsection which the fish in question lacks.
The color pattern of gold/metallic orange atop a blue wash matches that of female C. septemfaciatus - as well as the metallic outlining of the dorsal blotch.
The row of spots after the prominent black one in the middle of the body are consistent with pictures of C. septemfasciatus. These would be vertical bars following the prominent vertical bar on the midsection on C. sajica.

compare

female C. septemfasciatus:

In brooding coloration the female's blue and gold colors on and above the breast are covered in a blackish wash.

female C. sajica on the right:

In brooding coloration the female's colors become very dark overall but more-so on the head and chest.

I have kept both sajica and semptem.... and these are sajica.
