100% water change is typical for goldfish breeder.
I am keeping top view ranchu which is new to US.

So are you running a drip system or an automatic water change system?

Forgive the questions, but why keep the water level low then?

Plumbing the tubing into PVC fitting and then customizing it to your preference is probably your best option at this point.

Obviously!
I meant how are yo doing it.
If your tank is full of fish, yo wouldn't drain out 100% of the water and have your fish flop around in a completely empty tank. So the water level has to stop somewhere. As long as you plumb your intake below that line, you shouldn't have a problem.

Also, if you're in a position where you need to do 100% WC, it might be time Ro rething you're set up from the ground up.

In Top view ranchu grooming, we need to keep water level low. Then we can have the best shape for competition.

I have to scope out the fish first and then empty the tank.

In professional breeder place, they are using this kind of tub to do 100% water change.
