I need to get past the big question of why you're putting a big blue tub in your living room?

If you need it supported on bottom and sides as stated below...make a wood stand with a flat bottom and an edge that matches the height of the tub. place tub on stand...fill space on sides with sand...this will simulate how these things are set up in the ground...cap off top so sand stays where it belongs and tub is supported on all sides.

It's for special fish (Top View Ranchu).

I bought angle irons, bolt and nuts. Just need to build it.

I am still waiting for the tub to come in. After seeing the following pic, I won't worry much about bow from sides.

Any comment?
I would add another frame around the bottom about 4" inches up.
The legs may get a little shaky with out it, plus it will give you a bottom shelf.
Unless your going to cover it with plywood.

I would cover the bottom with ply. Also add second nuts and bolts to all sides. Just an FYI, there are probably a dozen welders near you that would weld that for $20-$30. Strangely welders seem to work fairly cheap.

I received my tubs last Friday and working on reinforcing my shelf and drain.

Here is the list for drain..

1. Flexible Coupling ( 2" x 1 1/2" )
2. 90 degree Elbow (1 1/2" x 1 1/2")
3. Reducer (1 1/4" x 3/4" threaded)
4. Barb to MIP Adapter (3/4" x 3/4")
5. Barb splicer (3/4" x 3/4")

This project is only designed to use with tubing. (Anymore idea?)
