Need ideas for 2 tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ok, thanks I'll let you know how it turns out.

I picked up a cory today, not the same species(?)/color but they guy at the store said they'd be fine together. Will the corys be ok together and be good companions?

update-
the corys and slender buffalohead are all best friends(so far) they follow each other everywhere. YAY!! :)

:feedback:

cories dont need to be in groups with their own species. but the like to be in groups. that means more than 2. a trio is a minimum and ok in a 10 gallon, 6 is better, but more suited for a larger tank

So how important is it that I get 1 more? Also once I get rid of the gouramis what sort of other fish would you guys recommend?

you really need to research your fish before buying them...

its important for cories to be in groups. they feel more secure with other cories around. this means they dont spend their life in your tank completely stressed out. the greater the numbers, the less stress on the fish. unless you want your fish to be stressed out and to die prematurely.

Yes I research them...I'm not dumb. I had another cory but it died not too long ago, and I probably should have replaced it sooner. Group to me=2+. And I wasn't the one who went out and bought those stupid gouramis anyway.

if you really researched them you would see that they need to be in groups of 3+
