Metal halides got it! I think the ? u referred to was about the mesh and weed. I bought a plant net to secure Riccia , moss on the floor and a bag of Pellia and Christmas moss.What I was wondering was, with all the plants and critters will it be a @#%&$ to clean?Or do I even have to drain and clean if I have the right filtration?

Like turtles, your always going to have to do alot of W/C's (water/changes), a bog can help until the critter gets big enough to overload it. Good biological filtration can only go so far without being bigger than the pond

.if you have space get a big light over a smaller pond and stuff it full of plants and duckweed (if given the right conditions it can double in mass every 3 days).so if you got a few pounds of the stuff the bio filter may keep up plus it gives a refuge for the frogs ect
