Hey, like I said in my previous thread I don't want to get another oscar for a while, I'd just keep comparing my new one to my favourite ever Oscar that I lost last week ;( has anyone got any good ideas for what I could put in my tank that will not eat my Chinese algae eater, Jackie. Here are my requirements

min 2 fish max community tank

The fish(es) must not be too big/ aggressive to beat up/eat my 5" algae eater
They must be small enough to fit at least two into my 55 gal, might upgrade to 75 gal

I would like it if at least one of them would take live food

They could be any species of fish

They have to be tropical

I'd prefer it if at least one of the fish had a personality

If prefer it if they lived between 5-15 years

The fish don't have to match all of these requirements, that would just be ridiculous, and if I could have an
Idea of what fish I could put together and different tank themes it would be really great. Thank you in advance, I would really love some ideas.

if you already have an Oscar in this 55 I wouldnt put 1 let alone 2 Jack Dempseys in there. You will need something much smaller like Firemouths or Convicts

A standard 55g is about 48 x 12.5 x 21". What are the dimensions of your "55 gallon long"?

I would upgrade to the 75 now...you'll appreciate the extra space even if you stock it for a 55. IT will also give you the opportunity to "start fresh" since atm it would be easier then trying to move fish down the line ect.
