I would avoid any cichlid tank mates with a male con in a 29. Look for something top dwelling.

maybe a 5-7 tiger barbs... there tough little guys right? would a male con kill them?

this is what I was thinking, Im getting a school of tiger barbs (5, like tomorrow or the next day!) and then may add a convict in a few months

add some RTC's, Silver Aros, 2 arapaimas, that would be good. Jus playin, If youve started with cichlids, i would suggest just add more cichlids, i like to make my tanks with "themes" so if south american cichlids are placed, i would only put fish from that area, if tetras, then all tetras, you see where im coming at? make it look as natural as possible, well thats just me.
