i went to wal-mart today for some ghost shrimp, and they had a catfish marked as chinese algae eaters for 2.97 each. so i bought 5. i am in the process of getting pictures but i will describe them as good as i can until i get pictures.

they are a tanish color with dark brown almost black bars that are very thick going down their body vertically. very long slender bodies and very quick with very large round heads.

like i said i am in the process of getting pictures so bear with me while i do this.

...That would be Chinese algae eaters, Gyrinocheilus aymonieri. what did you need the id for? you already siad what they were lol

no listen big round head, whiskers, and look exactly like a catfish... im working on pics, i know there not algae eaters cause there behavior is different and there mouths are located at the front of the head not the bottom...

sorry its taking me so long, my parents are on the big computer in which i need in order to upload the pics. and after doing some research they look alot like a bumble bee catfish, but something still isn't right about the fish,

they had it marked as algae eaters so thats why i picked up so many because i wasn't sure what they were, and i know that wyoming doesn't carry bumble bees at all.

sorry i forgot to upload, i will do that tonight
