i thinking of getting a pair of frontosa and i need to know the basic infos on them. so....enlighten me please and thank you.:D

they do better in larger groups.

whats the biggest size these guys grow to? and how do would we know if it is male of female?i am getting these guys which are about an inch long

They can get 14+" and at that size I'm not aware of any way to sex them.

I know for a fact that it is impossible to sex them at that age... I researched for ever and tried. I do that if raised as fry or smaller, they should do well with each other in small groups. I would not add any after a few inches... they will single that one out, unless you add a female or alpha male after they reach breeding age. They only trouble with them is they get so big so slowly that they will be out grown and get picked on at times or the reverse when they grow they have been known to eat smaller fish... My 5 incher ate a brevis a few months back... Larger ones have eaten larger fish than shellies... be sure to research the tank mates as well. If you want cichlids, go with larger tangs, or peacocks will go well...

i would bet the tsn and bichir would outgrow the front and eat it, dunno much bout dats. i would not for one reason, tronts need a high ph. 8.5+. thats not doing the other fish any good. the onlything i keep with my fronts other than other african cichlids are clown loaches, plecos and a madtom catfish. if you want fronts in a 110, get about 10 of them and do a frontosa tank
