How much time is left on the bidding? I work with a guy that is huuuuge into watches, if you have until at least tomorrow morning I will ask him when I get to work. Looks real nice, he seems to know his watches pretty good...

Longines used to be sweet stuff, but with the advent of the internet... the price dropped dramatically. You can find most longines $100-$200 new FWIW

Alright I just asked him, we looked over the pics, found it on Ebay and checked it out. He said watches that he is familiar with like this he would expect to go for around $300. He said "if he likes the watch and he gets it for $300 thats a pretty good deal". He said it would be possible for it to hit up near $500 so it really depends on how much your friend likes it, whats he willing to spend on it. From the pictures he said it looks like the watch is in great shape, little wear and tear. He said the first thing you look for is wear on the lugs or the little posts that the wrist band attaches to. From the pictures they look to have little wear. His suggestion is to go on craigslist and ebay and look for other 14k watches (with a leather band because a gold band can add a lot of weight and $$) and compare what you see. Let me know if you have any specific questions I can pass along...hope this helps

Thank you so much Jay!!! Guess I just have to figure out how much Im willing to dip into my fish funds for this present!!!

14k watches are too heavy for their size. They are also look like a 55+ yr old man being too formal.....Apologies in advance if you are one.

My bling is the best bling.

Honestly, if you want a good watch look into Seiko. Their 14k stuff is really really nice.

Edit: OH yeah, I prefer left handed watches. I like the dials hitting my arm and not the top of my hand
