kinda feel like you have way to many awesome fish in one tank. Feel like you should get a huge tank and move the Bala and the pleco there (The Balas need a school of like 3-5)

He's still pretty much a baby right now but they can grow super fast depending on what you feed them. Might last a year or only 6 months before the 90 gets too small. Also use a protective cover for your heater, if you use one, so that it doesn't break it with its bite when it's a bit bigger.

and can balas school with tinfoils ? or is my tank for sure to small for a school?

large balas? and im seeing threads where people have stocked there 180s with WAY more then i have.

Since you said you welcomed the observations: You have several fish that can't flourish unless they are moved out of that tank. (And, that doesn't change because you may see other people do the same thing. Perhaps they have other tanks waiting, perhaps not.) Regardless, the first thing I see is that the fish in that tank when given the opportunity, get much larger than that tank will allow for them.

The issues of the type of fish and their compatibility is an additional concern.

I think those are great fish (not that I like all of them), but several given the right conditions could be show pieces. But not all together in that tank. A reasonable follow-up question might be: what do these specimens need and when do they need it?

Yup, I was under the impression that lungs should be in single species tanks, no?

for the most part you are correct Fish on Fire. they should be alone mine is in a 400 gallon by him self. i have had others tho that did fine with tank mates that where much bigger than the lung.

Hey super do you have a pic of the lung are you sure its a WAL? and not a SAL?

i see no problem with you stock. other than the lung.
your aro will be fine in a 180 for year or two depending on how good your water/food is.If your water is great and you feed him a good food the tank will last about 1.5 years

i dont see a problem tho all my cichlids are docile i have several smaller tanks waiting to move the cichlids IF anything should happen and yea redtail ill post some pics i got him for free as a african lungfish because the owner thought it was a SAL it was in a tank with several polypterus of the same size
