okay. so i just got a confirmation that there is a programed power outage in my city.

i currently have a 160 gallon with a sump - 40 gallon with a eheim and a ac50 - and a eclipse 12 gallon - all running right now.

what is the best way to help keep these fish alive.
Stock includes
9 - peacock bass orino's
3 - peacock temensis
4 - peacock monoculus/occellaris
2 - NTT datnoids
5 - AT datnoids
1 - silver arowana
1 - baby jardini
2 - vampire shrimp
1 - snowball pleco.

Will i need bacteria in the tank to keep them alive or do i just need it to be oxygenated. Thanks

how long is the power going out?

buy a battery powerd air pump

go buy some battery powerd air pump unless u got spare cash for a generator

put one in ya sump to keep the bb alive

i'd get an inverter and run it off my car if a generator is out of the question

keep the bb material damp but also oxygenated, do a couple of water changes, have some prime on hand and youll be fine.no need to spend money on generators and fuel

Where do you live??

If you are going to be home during the outage, manually agitating your water would be a plus.
Water changes wouldn`t hurt, except for the hot water usage(electric water heater??)
Just recirculation of your tanks water, siphon into a bucket and pour back in the tank, every hour or so.
Bacteria die off would not be a concern, but the lack of oxygen could be.
If you are concerned about any out of tank bacteria colonies, they can be moved to the main tank and bagged/floated in the water.
