I have had both. Both have a great personality. I think it comes down to work and maintenance. Fahakas have to be the messiest fish I have ever kept, but well worth it.

True lol since minion is coming home I'm trying to talk the wife into keeping another tank in the bedroom especially for minion.

We tried it once but due to water changes,water on the floor filter kinda loud I don't think it might happen but hopefully......

The reason it's hard to let the gar go is because it's been my dream fish since I was a kid, he eats anything I throw in there,and now that he's comfortable with me he's coming up to the tank to greet me,begging me for food and swimming around more,and he doesn't get scared anymore like he used to when anyone comes to the tank

Keep the gar... They are hard to get and if it knows you that well why would you give it away?
