What's up all? Ok I have currently some black gravel, crushed coral and medium natural stone for my substrate and its a pain in the butt to clean and I need something new... I don't know what and that's why I'm looking for suggestions. Something that will not or limit the showing of all the waste these bad boys leave behind.
Thanks
Glenn

Where would I get it and what is it? And what would the benefit be? And what are the drawbacks?

Ohh no don't get that. It looks good but for large P's imo it's not looking to be the best bet. large pebble size graval or stones are your best bet. Otherwise you are goin to be cleaning your tank more then you would like.

I have pool filter sand in my Pbass growout. It does show waste though, (which is something you dont want) So i gotta clean the tank often. Thats ok I am experimenting with large frequent water changes and growth rates.

yep, yep....pool filter sand here to.

I use natural gravel also known as "filter media". The pebbles are really small in size and its cheap. Like $20 for a 50lb bag. Its very natural looking multi colored and it does a pretty good job of hiding debris.

i use sand in everything. t-grade is heavier and bigger so it shouldn't get in your filters. I just use a layer thin enough to cover the bottom as I don't use plants in most tanks. It's too easy to get food stuck in rocks.

I have not used the T grade yet but I may try it on the 240g but my experience with the S grade in my 100g has not been a fun one.
