Walmart has alot of options. I use a Shimano Clarus 7' Medium spinning Rod[$80] at the time and Shimano Sedona[80] for Panfish/Bass/Catfish. Ive had that reel for 10 years and it still works. You can find a Good reel for around 50 bucks and a Used Rod for 50 bucks on Craigslist. Also ask for discounted or discontinued reel at Local Outdoor Shops bc they are usually Marked down. OutdoorPro in Oakland currently have a Daiwa SweepFire Spinning Reel for 20 bucks. I recommend Rods with LifetimeWarranty bc you can replace if broken for free or a small fee. You cant catch Fish at home on the Computer Chair, Go get Em.
