While cruising around some websites I found this HUGE piece of driftwood for sale. I definitely need to cut and trim it to fit into my 300. Seller states it's r feet tall at the highest point, 4 feet wide at the widest point and 6 feet long. Being that I'm not a driftwood expert, I'm not sure if it's aquarium safe. Made arrangements to check it out today. Can you guys/gals help me with identifying this wood and letting me know if it's aqaurium safe? I've taken a screenshot from the ad.

While I can't identify it it certainly looks like commonly used dritwood and an impressive looking piece too.Did the seller mention if it has been used in a tank before?

No he said he bought the house a few months ago and it was in one of his 2 barns. He has no info on it at all

It reminds me of some of the nice pieces that a shop down here has.If you do decide on it I hope you can get it home intact.

Hard to tell what type of wood it is. As above, that is a dry piece. It may take a lot to get that waterlogged. Perhaps tie it to the top of your tank with roots facing down.

You will definately have to weigh that thing down with a large brick!

So if it's incredibly light weight and dry should I pass?
