need opinions for a top on a 8x4 pond!!!

Build a cover using the thick foam board insulation. Cut a window to let light in.
In the heat of the summer you might have to worry about it getting too hot.
This is 2", I thought I saw thicker stuff in the store.

forgot to mention that this is an indoor pond thats in the basement! opps!

so I went to home depot yesterday and looked around in the paint/drop cloth section and asked 2 people-and they never even heard of visqueen! lol

thanks guys for the suggestions! I think I'm going to make a lightweight cover, framed with wood, consisting of foam board insulation, with the fiberglass reinforced panel I was mentioning yesterday ...and I like the window idea as well and will cut them out ...what should I use? plexiglass or acrylic-not sure if HD has that or not...and finallly attach it to the pond with hinges and a type of pulley system with a cord that can be tied or hooked to something to keep it opened...
