Overstocked?

how about 2-reticulated stingrays..

there is nothing wrong with overstocking if u can keep up with water quality.

Yeah, I know but after having an overstocked tank for so long, I'm kind of paranoid that it will end up being like that again.

Rays would be cool, but there are about 5 different problems I'd have with them: 1. As far as I know, there's nowhere to obtain them around here (unless my LFS could order them). 2. I'd be worried about getting stung every time I put my hands in the water. 3. They are a bit out of my price range (I'd like to keep it sub-50 dollars per fish). 4. My gravel and driftwood could become an issue. 5. Most of the experienced ray keepers here usually say that they need like a 8x3' footprint minimum, and I only have 6x2' (with no possibility of upgrading). Amazing fish, but they're probably not for me.

Guess I should have put a lot more information in the OP... better late than never, I guess. So, whatever fish I get need to meet these criteria:

Size: 6-14"
Temperature: 78-84F with no extreme sensitivity to change (eg: discus)
pH: Neutral
Temperament: nothing too aggressive or predatory (needs to be able to cohabitate with fish as small as 6", as well as my 28" aro)
Sensitivity to water quality: Not much of an issue, but I would prefer fairly hardy fish.
Feeding: must accept pellets, krill, and/or vegetable/fruit-type foods.

Severums..

African Leopard Leaf fish.. at full grown they are 10", but that's not too common.

How about a clown knife. I have 1 in my 300 with my rays and 32" silver arow. Never a problem.

If possible I would recommend a drip system. I never have to change water in my tank manually. It's great. If u need help building 1 I'll be glad to assist. Btw. My tank is way overstocked.

Sevs are already on my list, and ALF's are nice, but the only place I could get one is petsmart, and theirs are only 1-2" (and I don't have a separate growout tank).

CK's get too big. Regarding the drip system, I'd love to have one, but I don't really have the time/resources to build one.

I think your overstocked.. but I think sevs may be okay.. like said.. long as your keeping up the WQ ( which I'm sure you are ) abit of overstocking is fine.

polys :)
