If I were to build again and use glass (mines acylic) I would use a sheet of tempered starphire glass for clarity and strength.

How thick would I need the glass to be if it was tempered? I e-mailed several glass cutting shops locally asking about 1" thick glass a week ago and no one got back to me. I just need to know exactly what to ask for if I'm going to call them.
I got a hold of a local glass shop and they quoted me a decent price for 1/2" tempered glass.
