Yeah, it sounds like your stuck with what you got. Once the PVC is cemented it's done.

Personally I would trash the bulkheads and order up some new ones, start fresh. However, I do tend to prioritize fish keeping higher than I should. That being said, the most important fitting on your whole system is the bulkheads on the bottom of the tank. If those go bad your draining the tank to repair them. Most likely your also cleaning up a mess too ;) Your old bulkheads have old gaskets on them............something to think about.

and a gasket is what? the clear rubber washer thing? and i wanted to start fresh with everything plumbing wise but once i started pricing stuff i just couldnt fit it in. id be a month or two longer trying to get my tank running. at least .. just had to drop a fortune again on tuition for next semester. i managed to squeeze $40 bucks out of my old man for a heater.

yep, im hoping so! .. my pump should apparently be coming in today (today was estimated arrival date) so im going to get a start on setting up the plumbing today while i start drinking for tonight! happy new years eve everyone!
