Well I can't deny it any more I can't keep my computer up with 5 free little spyware and antivirus programs and I'm worried they might be missing something. Plus having more than one isn't much help.

I've had Trend Micro but that's gone down the crapper and the paid service has expired. Not to mention that it doesn't run anymore probably because it conflicts with the other programs.

I'm looking for a pay for program not a free trail and obviously I don't need anything for large networks but something affordable.

So what I'm looking for is pretty much the standards
-can monitor and check for malware, virues, and spyware
-checks emails, blocks any incoming threats

I know that there are some network people on here so any advice is appreciated, and if you have any site's ratings of programs I'd love to see them.

You can easily get by with a couple of freeware programs. The only benefit that the purchased ones have over freeware are that they can run on schedules easier (not to say freeware versions can't be)

If you have AVG and spybot you are pretty much covered, just update them between scans.

I use 4 freewares..

Advanced Windows Care
Spyware Terminator
Spybot S&D
AVG

and I just have each one auto-scan at 3am on different days 7 days a week..
Spyware Terminator has a live-action blocking feature kind of like Windows Defender - asks you everytime something strange (spyware) tries to access your computer.. Advanced Windows Care is really user friendly and does alot more than just Spyware, it cleans registries, frees up ram, removes junk files, has a startup manager, etc.

Okay thanks guys maybe I'll just stick with the freeware, to bad I deleted it:wall:.

AVG
Spybot
windows defender

you got theses bad boys, your covered.
