Umm... I think credit should go where it's due. This was first posted by Snazzy in 2006 on the Planted Tank forums:

http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/diy/36257-diy-external-heater-56k.html

Incidentally, at the start of his post he writes: "Please do not post this anywhere else without my permission!" Jcardona - did you ask before posting his tutorial here?

We4weiners - the Hydor ETH heaters are generally very well reviewed. I've had good experiences with the 300 and 200. The 201 appears to be a new model and I'm not sure what distinguishes it from the 200.
Not once did I take credit for anything. This is the internet, and these are public forums. We're not dealing with copyright information here, so don't get all worked up over a PVC diagram. Thanks though ;)

I agree that you didn't state that you were the author of that post, but maybe because you didn't link to the original thread and left out the line that said "Created by Snazzy" people have credited you with the idea eg.

we4weiners: "Jcardona..awesome idea."

CA-delta: "Good Idea with the compression fitting Jose."

smpage: "Jose's idea is frickin rad though!"

I realize there is no copyright issue or obligation. I just think that if someone takes the time to share an idea, and you find that it's useful, it's respectful to give them credit (especially if directly copying their text and images). Maybe my opinion is just skewed because I work in a profession that relies on building on the work of others and focuses heavily on citing sources and references.

Sorry for the derail.
