I live in Wisconsin and it gets very cold up here... I'm setting up my 300g acrylic tank in the garage due to not being able to get the tank down stairs in the basement. I just need to find a inexpensive but reliable way to keep my tank heated during the winter as sometimes it may drop below 0 with the wind chill. My question is if there are any titanium heaters or anything large and inexpensive I could use roughly around $100?

I live in Phillips, WI. I have run into a similar situation as you have with a heater for a large tank. I have a 110 gal. tank and had to purchase a new heater. I purchased a 500 watt AZOO Titanium Submersible water heater for my tank. I have found it works quite well for my needs. I purchased it through Dr.'s Foster & Smith in Rhinlander, WI. I ordered it online and have been well pleased with their support in helping me in choosing this particular heater for my tank. HOWEVER, it cost more than $100.00 in its inditial cost. Then don't forget to add shipping and handling costs, too. I would suggest in looking online at their aquarium supplies for tank heaters and see what they may have. If do not find what you are shopping for, call their customer service department and they will help you as much as possible. I hope this information helps you in your endeavor. Good Luck. David

I would buy 2 300W heaters instead of one bigger one....if the bigger one fails your screwed....with 2 smaller ones if 1 fails you always have another....

Two too three 300 watt jags Dr fosters I think around 32 each. Great price imo. + they have free shipping when ya spend that much. If that's still going on. It was this summer

Is your garage heated? I would get 3 300w jagers for your 300g.

Expect to have massive electric bills if you're keeping that tank in an unheated garage.. wow. I couldn't even imagine. I would go with redundancy as the others suggested by getting 2 or 3 smaller heaters vs. one large one.
