For all the "older" people....

At what age did you start saving for retirement? Did you feel like you started to early or late? Looking back at what age would you have liked to start to save?

I havent started yet and am thinking about it, originally I didnt plan on living that long :nilly: but it seems that life is not letting go....lol

I started putting in the maximum amount when I was 22. (I'm not an older person, but I don't think you can be too young to save.)

Since twenty two and I am twenty six now. After a few months I forgot it was even coming out of my checks. Li you have money to save after all those fish you buy? Your W-2 must be a sight to behold.:)

Im guessing he claims his fish as dependants.

You can never start saving to soon. I started as a teenager 17 and with the cost of living going up ill need every penny.

I just started saving a couple of years ago, but I wish I started at 20. There was an article in Maxim saying that if you start to save at 22 instead of 30, and only save for 10 years, you could have about $500,000 by retirement where if you start saving at 30, you'll never catch up.
