What I've discovered is a lot of acrylic tanks under 120ish gallons are ridiculously priced based on size. Are they framed in gold? It's ridiculous. You almost have to go big to make it worth your while.
Not acrylic, but I would recommend Custom aquariums. Cheap? No. But they stand behind their products with a lifetime warranty. They run their operation like a small family buisness and are excellent at responding and answering questions. Can be delivered to your door. In my case the local retailer in my area brought it in and set it on the stand.
You can get regular or tempered glass. You can mix/match (tempered front, regular back) etc. Any custom size up to 2,000 gallons I think it is. I forget the maximum length.
My 225 has tempered front and sides, regular back and bottom. The tempered glass is their starfire version. This thing is literally a tank, I could dance on it. Marine grade metal frame. You can get black or clear silicone. Now they have stands with wheels too.
Cheap? Hell no. quality? Hell yes.
I saved up for months but it was worth it. The seller that hooked me up works out of California.
*tip* with tempered you can go 1/2" in most applications instead of 3/4" for regular glass. Adds water volume back on the same footprint. The bottom is always gonna be 3/4" or over with the large tanks.
